Monica is a proud Hong Konger despite having lived in England for the past twenty years. She is worried about the future of Hong Kong under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party and the  effects of the controversial extradition law. To make things worse her sister Zijau is firmly in "the blue camp" - however Monica is still able to dream of an alternative future.
