GROWING UP
Growing Up is a live performance art piece that delves into the childhood memories of migrants to the UK. It weaves together the bittersweet experiences and shared childhood objects of these individuals.
The project consists of three key components: audio, including classical music and spoken word, and visual elements featuring animation. This performance is the result of workshops conducted within migrant communities.
Blending spoken word, the performance is led by Maria, the animation is created by Edane, with music performed by both Maria and Edane.
Through this piece, audiences are invited to witness the transformation and evolution of childhood memories from people of various backgrounds and homelands.
