Anna Nguyen
Anna is a theatre-maker and producer. She trained at Central School of Speech and Drama on the Collaborative and Devised Theatre course. She has worked extensively with companies such as Tamasha Theatre, Emergency Exit Arts and The Albany. She specialises in devised theatre and verbatim work.
Anna was Associate Producer at The Dukes where she produced her debut production ‘Glory' by Nick Ahad; this made a UK tour and received an esteemed national review. She is currently working at HOME in talent development and programming. As a producer Anna has worked extensively with communities, artists and companies.
Anna believes in the inherent value of creativity and culture and produces work that delights, moves and helps us to understand the world we live in.
She has successfully received several grants for theatre, festivals and community engagement projects (please visit website). In 2017 she was the resident artist at The Deptford Lounge; where she produced a series of important work that impacted the community of Deptford, in particular the Vietnamese community.
Among producing and theatre-making, Anna is skilled in acting and voice work. She has narrated a number of radio documentaries and starred in her debut production ‘Summer rolls’ by Tuyen Do. She was nominated for ‘best female actress’ for an off West End award and received praise for her performance by Lyn Gardner.
